Neutralities(12)Argentina
Argentina last episode of neutralities. From now on, we will add other Asian countries to prove that most Asian countries are following a similar process. Asian countries were colonies and spheres of influence of countries on the side of the Allies, and many organizations saw Germany and Japan overwhelming the Allies as a great opportunity for independence. In addition, the armies of each country created a national army modeled on Germany, and Germany played a role in culture such as medicine and music, and pro-Germanism was formed among intellectuals and army officers. It is common for research subjects to be worshipped, but it can be said that the tendency was especially strong as to Germany. However, apart from the pro-Germans and pro-Nazis, there were quite a few pro-Germans who decided to keep a certain distance from Germany due to the severity of the non-humanitarian persecution or atrocities of Jews, and Nazi Germany lost many pro-Germans. It can also be said that it is in line with the viewpoint of our institute that World War II was not decided that the Axis would lose from the beginning, but that it was a defeat due to policy failure and lack of preparedness.By the way,Simon-Bolivar and Saint-Martin envisioned Latin America consisting of several large powers with a view to obtaining genuine independence of Latin American countries, but in the end it became a turbulent formation of small countries, and as expected, the 19th century was British capital, and the 20th century was the overwhelming support of American capital. In response to the distribution, Latin America became the backyard of the United States. With the Russian Revolution and the Mexican Revolution, the socialistization of those who did not have it became prominent. The Great Depression of 1929 involved Latin American countries, and the conflict between the right and the left increased. Argentina was the most advanced industrial country in Latin America at that time, but social unrest increased due to the rise of the left after the Great Depression. In Argentina, which identifies itself as Europe in Central and South America, the conflict between the European Axis powers and the Allied Powers was brought in as it was, and until around 1942, when the Axis powers were advantageous, General Castillo, who advocated pro-German neutrality, had the advantage.Because it was isolated by America’s pressure, Colonel Peron's faction won all the more. However, the inferiority of Germany and Japan on each front was decisive and the pressure from the United States rapidly increased, so they with hesitation declared war on Japan and Germany in March 1945.
So far, we have outlined the situation of neutral countries in World War II, from Argentina in the west to Iran in the east. What they have in common is that they generally had a strong pro-German trend until about 1942. In the World War II division of our institute, the aim is to clarify that defeat of this war was not decided on the Axis side from the beginning, but on the contrary, it was a situation that was quite advantageous to the Axis side. The third work of the World War II division of our institute, "Neutralities", also depicts that even though it is a neutral country, in fact, pro-German non-belligerent countries were actually preparing for the post-war period on the premise of victory on the Axis side. In the next work "Pro-Germanists", we will take up the pro-Germanists of each country and follow the common points of how pro-Germanists took root in each country.
