前回の(18)では四刀流の第四種目である『食』のことを紹介させていただきましたが、今回は第三種目の『芸』について。諸葛孔明も周瑜も司馬懿もみんな楽器演奏を得意としていました。中国では、文官の芸術が正当な芸術とされていきました。専門性を重視する今の価値観からするとかなり隔たりがあります。医学や科学技術も同じで、まず文官の判断が優先され細かい部分は専門家に委ねることになります。楽器も書道も絵画も文官が主役となっていて、その専門家の芸術の評価が低いのは注目すべきことです。しかし、文武芸食の全道も目指す当研究所にとってはむしろ親近感が持てる発想なのです。当研究所が主催する孔明コンテストの第三種目ではショパン演奏を行なっていただきます。『夜想曲第二番』『革命のエチュード』『幻想即興曲』『バラード第一番』あたりを候補に考えています。
